  • A Note on Trauma


    Trauma isn't just about what happened to us; it’s about how our body and nervous system responded to those events. When we face overwhelming experiences, our natural survival responses—fight, flight, freeze, or fawn—can become stuck. This unresolved energy lives within us, creating loops of thought, emotion, physical tension or pain that keep us feeling blocked, disconnected, or unable to move forward.


    Everyone has experienced some kind of trauma, it’s part of the human experience so a big component of this work is gently exploring these patterns with compassion and curiosity. My Body wisdom sessions use the breath and somatic practises to discover and deepen the experience of the body, release stuck energy and build a trusting relationship with the body. 


    Working this way allows you to meet the true you that lies within at the pace of the body.



  • What is Somatics?


    Somatic simply means relating to the body. It's about paying attention to the sensations within your body and understanding that it can store experiences, emotions, and tension. Somatic practices help you listen, release stress, and find balance for overall well-being, giving your body a voice in your journey towards your thriving self.
